Overview

An L1 visa can be granted for a nonimmigrant to enter the US temporarily to work for an employer who has operations in the US and in a foreign country. The L1 visa can be granted for a period of seven years and the main requirements are:

           a. The company in the US has operated for one year.

           b. That the employee have a particular skill (manager/executive or specialized skill) and

           c. The employee has worked for the company overseas for at least one year of the last three.
