Trafficking Victim Visa (U Visa)

We will assist petitioner
understand the process to ensure correct completion
of petitions and adequate preparation for interviews.
The U visa is designed for
immigrant crime victims who have suffered substantial physical or mental abuse
flowing from criminal activity and who have mustered the courage to cooperate
with government officials investigating or prosecuting such criminal activity.
The criminal activity involves or is similar to violations of (some or all of)
the following types of offenses under Federal, State or local criminal laws:
rape; torture; trafficking; incest; domestic violence; sexual assault; abusive
sexual contact; prostitution; sexual exploitation; female genital mutilation;
being held hostage; peonage; involuntary servitude; slave trade; kidnapping;
abduction; unlawful criminal restraint; false imprisonment; blackmail;
extortion; manslaughter; murder; felonious assault; witness tampering;
obstruction of justice; perjury; or attempt, conspiracy or solicitation to
commit any of these crimes.
